Mars Petcare Wodonga is seeking a motivated and experienced Production Shift Manager who excels in managing production staff, optimising processes and maintaining a positive and productive work environment.

In this role, you will be leading and coaching your team and managing their day-to-day performance and development to ensure all production objectives are achieved. This role will be required to work on a rotating shift pattern, ensuring that all KPI's are met across each shift with quality & safety always front of mind.

Manufacturing experience preferred, but not essential

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and engage a diverse team

Demonstrated experience in a people management role, with a track record of successfully leading and developing teams and future career pathways

Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges

A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety

Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple competing priorities effectively

What will be your key responsibilities?

Lead develop and motivate a diverse team of production staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability

Oversee daily production activities, ensuring that processes run smoothly and that production targets are consistently achieved

Address and resolve any issues or conflicts within the team promptly and effectively

Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for professional development and growth for team members

Identifying, developing and implementing activities that continuously improve safety, quality and efficiency

Balance the priorities of continuous manufacturing as they arise to ensure that KPI's are met

Planning, directing and coordinating team members to meet established specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and safety & quality standards

Anticipate, plan and prevent production disruptions, including anticipating reactive changes to production schedules as required, ensuring contingency plans for end-to-end impact (packs, raws, resourcing)

Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships with key stakeholders, including Reliability, Safety, Quality, Supply, R&D, Project & Site Engineering and Logistics teams.
