We have an outstanding Contract position for aProduction Specialistto join a leading Company located in the Garden City, NYsurrounding area.
Pay Rate: $26.00- $32.00
Seeking a Production Control Specialist to organize top-level planning to coordinate customer, material, and production requirements. This position will create and maintain a production plan based on forecast, inventory levels, safety stock levels , and customer service levels while minimizing cost.
Job Responsibilities:
+ Performs diversified duties involving the coordination, issuance and control of materials for the Business Segment Material Control Department.
+ Analyzes Oracle reports/output recommendations and releases production orders to manufacturing and assembly areas.
+ Release/Print work orders for the shop based on Oracle's 'Make Action Report '.
+ Expedites 'purchased' material components shortages with the appropriate supplier, as needed.
+ Expedites OSP items with the appropriate supplier.
+ Participates in daily scheduled factory order status meetings to achieve 100% on time performance.
+ Participates as a team member on task forces to reduce costs , inventory levels and improve on-time delivery of products to customers.
+ Place Purchase Orders with vendors & enter in Oracle.
+ Review and analyze Requisitions.
+ Review and analyze "Planner Analysis' for assigned Production Jobs.
+ Review and expedite "Buy Action Reports' and assigned vendors.
Basic Hiring Criteria:
+ Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
+ 0-3 years' experience working in a Production Control / Planning, Purchasing or Materials group in a manufacturing environment(equivalent experience will be considered).
+ Experience with ERP business systems is desirable.
+ Excel, PowerPoint and Word experience required.
+ Familiarity with Oracle business system.
+ Strong communication, analysis, and math skills a plus.
+ Data analysis skills using Excel or equivalent is required.
+ Accurate data entry skills.
+ Highly organized and able to multitask.
+ Ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
+ Ability to effectively troubleshoot problems.
