Your Role:

 

MilliporeSigma in Round Rock, TX is hiring a Production Specialist Team Lead. The Standards Manufacturing-Team Lead is responsible for delegating and organizing workflow to the production team ensuring the schedule stays on track. The Team Lead Role also includes the ability to manufacture a wide variety of products offered by our site ranging from simple to complex. The role also includes training new employees/current team members and communicating production needs to management. Specific responsibilities include:

 

Plans and organizes the activities of the production team to meet productivity standards and customer requirements while exhibiting role model behaviorCommunicate daily with supervisor for lab needs, overall team performance, and planningProduces solution and solid standards involving Chemstandards, Customs, Secondary Standards, and Calibration StandardsTrains and motivates team members for maximum efficiencyResolve minor issues in the production area or escalate to management when neededPerform and/or schedule PMs for all required production equipment            

 

 

Who You Are:

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or other Life Science Discipline 6+ months of experience working in a production environment

 

        OR

 

Associate Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or other Life Science Discipline 1+ years of experience in a production environment  

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

Strong Knowledge of production process, technologies, and techniquesKnowledge of lab safety involving identifying risk and improvement along with good general lab practiceAbility to organize and adapt in a demanding work environment to achieve strict deadlinesCapability to trouble shoot minor issues with equipment, personnel, and address accordinglyAbility to identify possible equipment or lab needs and communicate with management for discussion
