About the role:

As 2nd Shift Supervisor you will ​oversee the 2nd shift shipping and production operations and serve as a site leader for escalations. This position will directly supervise a team of 6-8 associates. 

2nd shift hours are from 1pm – 9pm, subject to periodic review and change based on business demand. We will rely on you to work overtime and the occasional Saturday as business needs require.

  

Day to day you will:

Schedule and prioritize shift’s workload and provide direction to staff to ensure efficient operations. 

​Ensure that all packaging and shipments meet ChemTreat’s specifications and DOT requirements. 

​Maintain inventories for production and shipping related items. 

​Perform all the duties for all positions within the department, as necessary. 

​Maintain environmental, health and safety documentation as it relates to EPA compliance, OSHA requirements, and ChemTreat, Inc. policies and procedures. 

​ Follow appropriate EHS procedures and policy which may include the identification and proper handling of hazardous waste and file incident reports for work related incidents and near misses. 

​Participate in corrective and preventative action practices as it relates to product quality, plant safety, environmental and DOT compliance. 

​Provide site leadership for incident or product escalations.  

​Champion training and development plans for all shift employees.​ 

​​Provide guidance and direction to 2nd shift dept. employees and assist in review process. 

​Maintain general housekeeping duties that provide for a neat, safe, and clean work area.​ 

Are you qualified?

Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred with 2 - 5 years of Industrial Management/Supervisory/Production/Shipping Experience in lieu of degree (chemical plant experience preferred)

​Previous management/supervisory experience with effective communication and good interpersonal skills.  

​Experience in inventory management, forklift operation required

​Working knowledge of DOT regulations​ CDL preferred but not required

Microsoft Office suite proficiency with D365 experience preferred

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $75,000 - $85,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
