Production Supervisor - 1st shift

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Production Supervisor - 1st shift. The position will be based at our site in Hodges, SC. 

 

The expected annual salary range for this role is $83250.0 - $122100.0 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:

Eaton’s Commercial & Residential Distribution Solutions division is currently seeking a Production Supervisor to join our team on 1st shift. This position based at our Hodges, SC location.


Position Overview:
Supervise the personnel and production activities of one of the following major manufacturing functions: assembly, fabrication, epoxy, or PW2; plan and coordinate manufacturing or support schedules to effectively meet customer requirements and company commitments for product/service quality and timeliness, manage unit operations and schedules to ensure the most effective use of personnel, materials, equipment, and other company resources within assigned functional areas, within or below defined production or operational costs.

In this function you will:
•    Meet production demands, solve issues and make improvements. Accomplishing this through daily cross-functional team communication and by ensuring team leaders understand their roles in order fulfillment. 
•    Maintain high levels of quality by serving as a point of contact for any quality concerns or issues to be resolved in assigned areas of functional responsibility.
•    Work closely with the Quality department to ensure the continuing application of Quality Control standards to products and work processes.
•    Provide training, instruction, guidance and counseling to employees for development and compliance to standards and expectations.
•    Contribute to a safe, engaged and inclusive work culture by ensuring you and your team comply with all policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment, and performing 5S duties.
•    Serve as a central point of contact in regard to production issues, changes, material shortages, and manpower in one’s functional area.
•    Have knowledge of business systems, accounting, industrial engineering, employee relations, and manufacturing operations
•    Motivate and train employees, and promote and maintain morale, cooperation, and productivity in areas of functional responsibility.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED with minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environmentMinimum 1 year of experience leading project teams or as a supervisorLegally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered.  Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

 
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree field from accredited institution.Minimum 5 years of experience in leadership in engineering/manufacturing environment.Experience with an engineering, operations or manufacturing environment.Lean/CI experience a plus (Green Belt preferred)Experience working in assembly, fabrication, epoxy and/or shippingExperience working in an ETO (engineered to order) environmentExperience with Supervision or Management
