We are currently seeking a Production Supervisor. This is an exciting opportunity to join an industry leader. Our production facility is a fast-paced environment and the supervisor is an integral part of the manufacturing process. In this role, you will support the operations leadership team by assuring that the assigned production department is operated in the most profitable and efficient basis through proper utilization of assigned manpower, materials, equipment and space.
This role is for 3rd shift (9:00 pm to 5:30 am) with O.T. and weekends required. This role would include overseeing the overnight plant operations for warehousing.
Organizing resources to produce products according to the current schedule, and according to the approved quality standard. Supervise production team members performing production operations. Conduct on the job training of team members in the safe, efficient operation of equipment. Maintaining manpower within the assigned department at authorized levels. Works with corporate departments to maintain corporate procedures in Quality Control, government regulations, marketing, sales, and MIS. Analyze your area of responsibility for improved methods of production, tool design communication and reporting, cost controls and makes recommendations to leadership. Observe your production operations to ascertain compliance with methods, quality standards, safety regulations, production standards, and efficient operation of equipment: takes corrective action to eliminate any deviation. Organizing resources to produce products according to the current schedule, and according to the approved quality standard. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. To be successful in this role you should be willing to get your hands dirty a bit. You must be mechanically inclined and have experience in a manufacturing or process type of environment. Bachelor’s (B.A.) degree from a four year College or University, strongly preferred. At a minimum, require High School Diploma or GED A minimum of 1-year supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training. You should be proficient and comfortable with computers. Demonstrate proficient oral and written communication skills. Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. independently; and up to 100 lbs. with assistance. You must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Forklift experience/certification is a plus. Must be able to accommodate the designated shift hours: 1st shift (5:00 am to 1:30 pm), 2nd shift (1:00 pm – 9:30 pm approx.) or a 3rd shift (9:00 pm to 5:30 am approx.)
