Production Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a team within a Production unit to execute production processes, transforming parts and raw materials into ABB products in a timely and cost-effective manner. Each day, you will ensure continuous and efficient operation in accordance with volumes, schedules, procedures, drawings, and quality and safety standards and policies. You will also showcase your expertise by organizing and allocating resources to meet line production targets effectively and efficiently. Your responsibilities include: safety, quality assurance, customer service, human resource management, profit and loss, budget maintenance, continuous improvement and corporate policy adherence. Maintain an effective interactive dialogue with Manager and all support departments such as Human Resources, Quality, Engineering, Process Engineering, Maintenance and Tool Room.This is an on-site position based in Ormond Beach, FL. This role is contributing to the Electrification Installation Products division in the United States.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tEnsuring that production scheduling and production plan meet the volume requirements agreed upon in the demand plan and defined inventory service levels.•\tRecommending technical equipment and facility improvements as necessary.•\tIdentifying deficiencies in production area, proposing improvement activities, and overseeing implementation of actions to improve production performance.•\tManaging the resolution of critical product or equipment issues together with relevant internal teams.

Qualifications for the role

Bachelor’s Degree preferred3+ years of experience as a supervisor in an industrial environment, preferably electrical or metal forming industry. Basic knowledge of manufacturing systems, e.g., KBM, KronosKnowledge of Continuous Improvement processes, e.g., Six Sigma, Lean ManufacturingCertification in defined Continuous Improvement process preferred, as well as Safety training / HSE knowledge and processes. \tMust be flexible and able to work other shift hours as necessary.Must be able to work a reasonable amount of overtime, as required.Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
