Production Supervisor

ROKA is looking for a Production Supervisor to lead the team responsible for light manufacturing and assembly of our high performance eyewear. 

Responsibilities:

Oversee & coordinate the work of employees in ROKA’s eyewear manufacturing area. Including, but not limited to, assembly and machine operations Ensure employees consistently adhere to hourly deadlines for finishing jobs Plan, release, and close assembly jobs, adhering to processes and procedures in place Ensure inventory is transacted properly for all work orders and customer orders Supervise the assembly of custom sunglasses and prescription eyewear Train new and current employees on processes and procedures, including assembly of eyewear, operation of WMS, and ERP. Enhances productivity by finding inefficiency and recommending solutions  Maintain acceptable levels of workmanship and quality of all finished products Stay up-to-date on changes to procedures and policies Comply with all company safety standards  Promote a positive team environment on the success of the production team goals 

Must Haves:

Skills and Attributes: Excellent communication skills  Must possess time management skills Ability to work independently as well as in tandem with peers to produce quality work while adhering to job flow schedule and maintaining several different workstations Ability to operate optical machinery is a plus Self starter, organized, & detail oriented with good problem solving skills  Skill in using computer applications such as spreadsheets, databases, & word processing software  Ensures product quality is meticulous and meets stringent requirements “Yes We’ll Find a Way” Mentality. Ready to say “Yes, let’s make it happen” and then figure how to achieve it Results-driving AND team-supporting Ability to lead a team through day to day operations  Ability to read and write English. Spanish speaking is a plus Ability to communicate cross functionally  Positive attitude, adaptable Authorized to work in the United States  Experience: 3+ years experience in a warehouse, production, or manufacturing environment Experience at an eyewear brand a plus  3+ years experience leading a team  Must be a self-starter with proven leadership, problem solving and planning skills

Working Environment:

Work is performed primarily in an optical laboratory setting Environment often fast-paced and deadline oriented May work alone in lab as necessary or with partner Exposure to dusts, fumes, glass and/or plastic lens particulates, standard chemicals found in optical lab (some of which may be caustic), metal alloy (solid and melted), moderately high levels of noise, fluorescent lighting, cleaning agents and electrical energy Will be working primarily with small manual tools (screwdriver, pliers, etc.), lenses, frames, and automated laboratory equipment This environment requires: Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time (up to 8 hours per day per scheduled shift) Ability to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist. Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to approximately 45 lbs., and on rare occasion, aid in moving heavy lab equipment Must possess excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills Must possess excellent finger and manual dexterity, control precision, steady hands/arms Ability to identify and work with basic optical laboratory equipment, tools, supplies, and materials Certified to operate a forklift a plus
