Production Supervisor

Responsibilities 

Maintain a safe work environment. Complete job safety observations, investigate accidents and near misses, and daily focus to identify and implement improvements through our core safety practice standards.Work actively to enforce the attendance policy and performance management processes. Work with planners to meet production schedules in order to meet customer requirements.Manage safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvements through effective performance management.Support quality improvements by ensuring employees comply with documented standard work.Own administrative practices, such as time-card management, vacation and PTO requests, overtime distribution, probationary employee evaluations, and other duties as assigned.Knowledge and experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.Proven track record for delivering results - meeting deadlines and working under pressure.Ability to increase manufacturing productivity and efficiency.Ability to think analytically and ability to translate vision into action.Must be able to utilize RBS tools including Kaizens to lead/implement process improvements.Ability to maintain positive employee and labor relations.Team leadership and alignment skills - Ability to manage a diverse group of people and motivate staff to work together as one team.Proficient with computer (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Provide and track training and growth/development of staff.


Job Requirements

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience and 1 year in  a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment required.Experience in a lean manufacturing environment as a mechanical engineer, process/quality engineer and/or manufacturing manager preferred.Proven track record driving measurable/sustainable improvements.Physical demands—the physical demands of the job, including bending, sitting, lifting 25 pounds on average, 50 pounds occasionally.
