Production Supervisor

The salary range for this role is:

$64,718.69 - $106,763.83

Responsibilities:

Supervise and direct the efforts of plant personnel to produce a consumer product of the highest quality in the most efficient, safe, sanitary and economical means possible in accordance with Del Monte Foods, Inc. specifications and policies. Supervise and direct the activities of personnel to maintain, construct, and install equipment in assigned area of responsibility. Evaluate and recommend capital expenditures to support continuous improvement of production line efficiencies within the assigned department. Execute the implementation of approved capital jobs on time and on budget. Direct Supervision of a department, as assigned.

In accordance with Federal and State regulatory guidelines, ensure plant operation under the most safe, clean and healthy conditions possible. Supervise and motivate personnel to meet production goals. Monitor critical points during production runs to ensure a safe, high-quality product. Reports to Production Manager with dotted line oversight of production supervisors. Establish and monitor production schedules to increase line efficiency and prevent production downtime. Initiate and request appropriations for projects to increase and maintain production or improve the work atmosphere. Provide leadership and set the example to maintain the respect and cooperation of employees. Instruct and train personnel and supervisors to maintain a knowledgeable workforce. Communicate and monitor employee responsibilities and expectations; follow-up and administer corrective action when necessary. Quality and Food Safety - Overall responsible for finished product quality and food safety. Maintain standards and adjust processes to meet standards. Assists in the development, implementation and maintenance of Del Monte Foods Quality Systems to assure compliance with quality and food safety requirements. Implement visual management tools that tracks operations key performance indicators. Creates a balanced scorecard of metrics to measure, analyze and monitor performance and establishes appropriate review/response from such measures Partners with supporting leadership team to ensure common purpose and shared accountability in driving continuous improvement across the company Servant style leader and coach. Qualifications:

BS Industrial Technology, Operations Management (or comparable degree) or Equivalent Experience. 5-10 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing Applicable working experience related to supervision in a food manufacturing Plant. Strong PC-skills relating to spreadsheet, database and word processing programs. Lean Manufacturing Experience including problem solving tools (RCA, Fishbone) and statistical analysis Excellent communication skills. Proven ability to handle multiple projects and priorities at one time Comparable supervisory experience preferred. Ability to manage across multiple shifts
