Follow "Leader Standard Work" to ensure daily, weekly and monthly tasks are completeDirects and supervises all employees and production in the assigned areaMaintains production and quality standards as directed by plant managerChecks and maintains production reports and enters production into JDE dailyMeets daily with employees to ensure good communication is maintained on all issues in department and the plantCompletes production and scrap reportingReports any shortages of supplies or equipment required for daily operationsSchedules employees assigned to areaTrains, instructs and supervises new employees on job operations, until employees meet job requirementsEvaluates employee’s job performance in relation to established production standardsCounsels employees on job performance, safety/health, absenteeism, tardiness, and disciplinary issuesMentor associates and team leadsParticipate and or leads in training, development, and certification programsEnsures all employees follow health and safety guidelines and wears proper PPE in departmentResponsible for working with employees to reduce their blood lead and eliminate accidents within departmentsChecks and verifies employee’s time in the Kronos Timekeeping system for accuracy prior to approving for weekly payroll processingParticipates and supports Lean programs in department and the plantPerforms whatever other responsibilities and duties that are assigned by manager. QualificationsThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
AB/BS degree preferred or equivalent experience3 to 5 years supervisory experience in a production manufacturing environmentTrained in team building with effective communication skills, written and verbalGreat leadership abilityGood computer skills including use of Word, Excel, Power Point and other softwareGood communications, interpersonal and problem solving skillsAbility to define problems and draw valid conclusions on the work that needs to be performedUnderstanding of basic process and product flow in order to trouble shoot and pinpoint areas requiring problem solvingAbility to work with minimal supervisionAbility to interpret company policies and proceduresPHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Able to see, hear and speak; able to sit, stand for at least two hours at a time, sit, bend, craw, squat, kneel and climb able to use both arms and hands to use a computer and peripherals and lift 40 pounds from floor level, able to work below ground level in confined spaces and on stationary or mobile elevated platforms, able to wear respirator and other PPE as required, able to climb stairs. Able to work extended shifts and weekends as needed.

Able to work inside or outside the plant environment and in all climate conditions. Exposed to lead, fumes, chemicals, operating equipment, and vehicles.
