Pay Rate:

$68,300 - $91,000

Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range. Variable pay may provide additional opportunities for financial awards. This job is eligible to participate in IP’s annual incentive plan.

The Job You Will Perform:

Be an active, visible leader in Safety.  Work with EHS manager to ensure effective crew training, and ensure all plant safety policies are fully implemented and followed each day. Lead manufacturing, shipping and operational functions of the plant, to include daily production run scheduling and manning Actively manage plant maintenance budget and work closely with Maintenance Lead to set maintenance priorities Supervise employees in the daily production of corrugated boxes, trays and pads, to include crew training, planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating employee performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; promoting safety, quality production and teamwork; resolving conflicts. Lead and motivate employees to meet daily goals and improve productivity by setting an example of superior behavior, attitude and performance to work efficiently and effectively, while ensuring a safe work environment, and a quality product.  Effectively communicate operational information in both oral and written format at all levels: crew members, other supervisors, plant management, office personnel, outside customers and vendors.  Actively promote and ensure compliance with safety, quality and other programs and initiatives utilized within the organization. Fill-in for peer supervisory vacations and absences as needed.

 

The Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge You Will Bring:

High School diploma or GED equivalent required.   Prior experience in the corrugated packaging industry preferred.  Two years of supervisory experience preferred. Ability to cover off shift and unexpected absences as needed.
