Production Supervisor

Overview:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for directing and managing all plant production operations, with overall responsibilities for production, safety, quality, and other production-related activities. This position reports to the Plant Manager and is FLSA Exempt (salaried). Compensation will be based on proven experience, work history, and knowledge of the industry.

Description:

Direct and manage plant operations for safe and efficient production and processing of quality precast concrete products.Provide direction, development, and leadership to direct reports for safety compliance, quality standards, and operating performance.Coordinate with other plant supervisors and/or management to foster teamwork and achieve established goals.Implement cost-effective systems of control over operating expenditures and workforce.Supervise proper operation and maintenance of company assets, facilities, and equipment, and recommend replacement of or adjustments to facilities and equipment to the plant manager when necessary.Provide leadership and training to accomplish company goals and objectives, specifically promoting safety as the top goal and a core company value.Incorporate organization, consistency, and cleanliness among plant personnel.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED equivalent required.At least 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a production/manufacturing environment.Excellent math and problem-solving skills, and ability to think “outside the box.”Strong working knowledge of computers and software applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe).Ability to work flexible hours according to production and operational demands.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Knowledge of industrial/manufacturing equipment and operations.Experience with industrial manufacturing methods and process improvement programs and procedures required.Knowledge of concrete batching techniques and processes strongly preferred.Must have working knowledge of state and federal employment, safety, and environmental laws.Demonstrated commitment to safety.About Actalent
