The Production Supervisor at the North America Seal Quick Response Centers is responsible for the day-to-day activities on the shop floor and direct management of the skilled labor team. This role will work closely with the Manufacturing Manager to ensure the right resources are in place, enabling the team to meet production goals with a focus on quality, safety, and on-time performance. The Production Supervisor will work closely with individual associates and team leads to develop training plans to aid in the growth and development of the team. In addition, this role will be responsible for maintaining a work schedule for all associates on the team to ensure resources are available to meet customer needs. The Production Supervisor will report directly to the Manufacturing Manager.
Responsibilities:
Supervises staff and workflow in order to execute daily production plans and capable of communicating production schedule to key stakeholders.Facilitate Continuous improvement to reduce cost of quality, lead times and production delay opportunities by providing performance-related information to the Manufacturing Manager.Tracks and measures key operational metrics and identifies inefficiencies to ensure a safe and efficient workspaceMaintains quality services by enforcing product standards and ensuring equipment remains operational by performing regularly scheduled maintenance and calling for repairs when necessary.Lead corrective action requests and take initiatives outside direct area of responsibility to drive quality improvements in the organization.Maintains a safe, clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the proper use of equipment and resources and aligning to established safety policies and procedures.Exhibit and promote Flowserve’s behaviors to coordinate and interface with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, Engineering, and customers as necessary, toward an environment that encourages teambuilding, decision-making, problem solving.Demonstrate Flowserve’s People Leader Expectations of making time to connect, fueling a great place to work for everyone, helping everyone reach their potential, and magnifying your impact through others.Train, develop and motivate the shop personnel to drive accountability and ownership, instill pride in work, respect, and sense of belonging in the workplace as well as insuring team members are cross trained within the different functions of their department.Resolves personnel issues by analyzing data, investigating the issues and reporting recommended actions to the Manufacturing Manager.Requirements:
HS Diploma or equivalentMinimum 3+ years industry-related experienceMinimum 6+ months of leadership experience (Manager, Supervisor, Shop Lead, etc.…)Experience scheduling, planning and executing multiple jobs simultaneouslyAbility to communicate in both written and spoken English.Proven people management skillsAbility to read and interpret design prints and machining drawingsHigh Mechanical Aptitude with experience in Machining and Assembly Operations.Strong computer skills using Microsoft office applications.Working knowledge of ERP systems. (SAP preferable)Preferred Skills:
