About the Team
Under management guidance responsible for achieving safety, quality, cost, and delivery goals for assigned area.  Lead and develop area leadership with maintaining positive relations and providing effective leadership to the team.  Lead the engineering team to ensure equipment upgrades, modifications, and documents are maintained to ensure operational efficiencies are maximized.  Responsible for understanding the operating plan for the assigned area to drive activities that minimize waste and maximize profitability.

 

What you can look forward to as Production Supervisor

Ensure a safe work environment is provided and employees are complying with all EHS policies and procedures.   Ensure area leadership supports ISO 14001 (Environmental Certification) and ISO 45001 (Safety and Health Certification) initiatives.  Ensure assigned area conforms to IATF 16949 quality management standards and participate in audits. Plan resources necessary for optimal operating efficiency to ensure safety, quality, cost, and delivery goals are met.   Train and develop supervisors on understanding KPIs and business goals and understanding their role in meeting these metrics.  Train and develop supervisors with providing effective leadership to the team.  This includes participation in recruiting the best candidates, maintaining positive employee relations, employee engagement, reviewing employee performance, consistent enforcement of policies and procedures, and ensure employees are advancing through the pay for knowledge program.  Lead the engineering team to ensure equipment is upgraded and modified to maximize operational capacity, as well as work area documents are up to date.  Promote continuous improvement and Lean activities and lead implementation of actions.  Ensure implementation and compliance with local and global ZF initiatives.  Ensuring timely execution of corrective actions to eliminate the nonconformities and their causes. Maintain highest level of confidentiality in all aspects of job. Communicate effectively with customers (internal and external), cross functional teams, and members at all levels of the organization.  Co-creating and implementing ZF culture.

 

Your profile as Production Supervisor

Bachelor’s Degree 8-10 years progressive related experience.  Advanced knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within manufacturing/operations.  Proven interpersonal and communication skills.  Dynamic, driven, and energetic team player who works well under pressure with tight deadlines.  Strong organizational and task management skills.  Problem solving skills Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office.  Experience within the automotive industry Experience working in matrix organization.  Project Management experience. Knowledge of Six Sigma/ Lean principles.
