Aerotek is hiring a Production Supervisor Shift: 2pm - 11pm ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership and training to all employees to accomplish production objectives in Safety, Quality, Production, Packaging, and Maintenance.Coordinate production activities with other departments to ensure production goals and objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.Work with the operations team to ensure coverage for any planned or unplanned vacancies.Establish and monitor shift performance for safety, quality, and production standards.Enter production data accurately into the system to measure and monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) around efficiencies, downtime, inventory, and overall production.Update communication boards to keep production floor team members informed about safety, quality, and efficiency metrics and lead employee start-up meetings.Work with other team members to control and improve efficiencies, minimize labor overtime, downtime, and repair expenses, and implement cost-effective systems as necessary.Promote shop floor organization and plant housekeeping with employees using lean techniques such as 5S with shift personnel.Act as the first point of contact for operators regarding mechanical failure or production issues and direct maintenance employees to troubleshoot mechanical problems and perform preventative maintenance.Conduct tool store inventory reviews to ensure proper tools and/or parts are available for use when needed.Prepare and review employees' worked hours for submission to payroll.Essential SkillsExperience in a production environmentSupervisory skillsManagement skillsKnowledge of manufacturing processesProduction managementProcess improvementSupervisionLean manufacturingToolingManufacturing operationsProduction supervisionAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering or operations management3 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of education and experienceSix Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification is a plusPrevious labor relations experienceExperience working in a Lean environment and embracing continuous improvementSelf-directed team playerExcellent critical thinking and problem-solving skillsFlexibility to work multiple shiftsExcellent communication skillsStrong business acumenResults-orientedAbility to build collaborative relationshipsInfluence othersStrategic thinkingCustomer-focused
