Production Supervisor Department: Manufacturing Employment Type: Full Time Location: Liberty, SC Reporting To: Production Manager Compensation: $55,000 - $65,000 / year Description The Production Supervisor supervises manufacturing operations and personnel to ensure that company productivity and efficiency goals are met as well as meeting customer production and quality demands. The Production Supervisor utilizes judgment and experience to plan and accomplish production goals on a timely basis while maintaining a safe working environment. The Production Supervisor also upholds and exemplifies all company policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities + Control all delinquencies and scrap in the department. + Monitor all lines to ensure smooth workflow. + Control items of P&L such as labor variance, scrap, supplies, manufacturing expenses, etc. + Expedite any material not in stock through the Purchasing Department + Work closely with Production Control in scheduling weekly workloads. + Work with Sales to promise and complete rush orders. + Work with shop in building new parts or repair existing parts. + Keep work area clean and neat + Other duties as assigned + Daily contact with Plant Manager, Production Manager, Quality Control, Production Control, Sales, Lab, Engineering, Maintenance, and Human Resources + Periodic contact with plants in Mexico and New Bedford. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise + Strong leadership skills. + Excellent mathematical skills + Minimum of two (2) years manufacturing experience. + Minimum of two (2) years management experience. + Excellent communication skills. + Must have basic computer skills. + Good attendance record + High school diploma or GED + Full body movement/good eyesight, hearing and mental capabilities + Noisy conditions + Must be able to withstand eight (8) to ten (10) hours of constant movement.
