Production Supervisor
Production Supervisor City Enoree State/Province South Carolina Overview:

The Production Supervisor leads a team of chemical operators to execute a production schedule across multiple batch reactors. They are responsible for the development of each operator and upholding the standards of the production team. They should have strong knowledge of the process, product, equipment, standards, and work flows to effectively manage and direct operations. The Supervisor should have strong problem solving skills and interpersonal skills to guide chemical operators through process issues and organizational issues.

Responsibilities: Models Celanese leader expectations and actively coaches the chemical operators to improve overall operational efficiency.Evaluates, executes, and provides feedback on the production schedule. Ensures team is prepared to execute. Communicates gaps if schedule is unable to be executed. Works to maximize production output. Ensures product is first time right quality.Engages in the day to day activity of each chemical operator and understands what constraints are preventing them from being successful. Helps them work through those constraints to the level of their proficiency.Considers variables from multiple different sources, evaluates, and plans path forward. Understands the details before moving forward.Gives and receives regular feedback to develop people and self. Addresses performance issues through coaching.Works with the learning facilitator to support and create training plans for each chemical operator.Sets high expectations; respect for PPE and safety rules, 100% right-first-time quality, respect for procedures and equipment and the plant.Ensures achievement of the four core principles of Stewardship, Quality, Reliability, and Engagement in fulfilling the production schedule and developing the team. Qualifications: HS Diploma or Equivalent is required.Ability to work swing shift.Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience required with 3 years in chemical manufacturing preferred.Ability to build strong relationships and plan/align with the team.Strong influential leadership skills requiredStrong verbal/written communication.Advanced coaching skills.Computer skills in Microsoft Office required with SAP preferred.Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple people/tasks/processes.Self-directed, self-starter and ability to operate/prioritize with ambiguity.Shows highest levels of ownership and initiative.
