Job Description:

Microchip is looking for a Production Supervisor to join the team in Lowell, MA! This is an onsite position. The Production Supervisor will provide daily direction and assistance to the work group to meet assigned objectives. Work with the manufacturing staff to achieve company goals by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating job results and employee performance. Make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.


Essential Responsibilities:

Direct the work activities of hourly employees in the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of products.Facilitate the hourly workforce by setting clear expectations on production output, EHS compliance, and quality workmanship.Responsible for daily workflow, job allocations and shift support coordination.Develop and maintain a positive and respectful work environment with all employees.Ensure compliance with all company procedures in accordance with quality policies.Compile and analyze production records. Quality, OTD, Effective hours, etc. and provide weekly status to management.Help coordinate production focused improvement programs.Recruit, hire, and train employees. Creates job descriptions, perform interviews, make recommendations for hire and develop training plans.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Requirements:

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, semiconductor industry experience preferred.Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role, overseeing production teams.Familiarity with ERP systems.Knowledge of quality assurance practices and standards, such as ISO 9001.


Desired Skills

Proficiency in MS Excel.Lean, Six Sigma and other Continuous Improvement experience.Excellent verbal / written communications and interpersonal skills.
