Production Supervisor

The Production Supervisor for Operations manages labor to ensure that productivity goals are achieved, and quality control and safety standards are maintained in the following areas: Paper Processing, Die Cutting, Card Conversion and Game Boards. What you’ll do as a Production Supervisor: + Monitor the operations to ensure they are following health and safety standards + Managing the workflow by scheduling employees’ shifts, monitoring quality control, and ensuring that all production is complete, on-time + Monitor output to ensure production standards are met or exceeded + Work closely with auxiliary teams such as Planning, Purchasing, Finance, EH&S, Maintenance, Shipping and Receiving to ensure customer expectations are met. + Facilitate effective verbal and written communications with auxiliary team members + Develop and implement yearly goals and assist in developing the fiscal budget in areas of responsibility, including manning, capital expenditures, and training. + Develop daily, weekly, monthly schedules by shift based on proper coordination of customer requirements, materials availability, tooling requirements, machine capacity, production run time, and workforce, and deploy staff accordingly. + Inputs daily production data onto report, accounting for personnel and hours and production counts. + Complete troubleshooting of equipment and customary repairs to equipment + Oversee the hiring, orienting, and training of employees to ensure a competent workforce + Maintain a high standard of employee relations to ensure that the organization is the employer of choice and employees are aware of their obligations + Provide training and coach employees when necessary + Review personnel performance to determine individuals most suited for promotion. + Deploy lean manufacturing principles to continuously improve the company's printing operations in terms of cost, quality, labor efficiency, and improved delivery. + Performs other similar or related duties as required We’re looking for a Production Supervisor with: + High School diploma or equivalency + Two-four years college preferred + Three plus years of supervisory experience. Union and manufacturing environment preferred. + Basic knowledge of site core competencies of printing, die-cutting, laminating, injection-molding, game board, final assembly, and card production preferred. + Familiarity with Lockout/Tag out and other safety procedures + Ability to utilize computer software including MS Office software suite and ERP system + Capability of lifting 25 pounds unassisted + Ability to lift between 25 and 50 pounds in a team lift situation + Ability to do perform repetitive lifting, bending, reaching, twisting, stretching, pushing and pulling This position reports to the Manufacturing Manager.
