Position Scope/Summary:

The Production Supervisor has up to three shift responsibilities for Production Team Members that produce catheter components, sub-assemblies, and assemblies.  The Production Supervisor will assist in coordinating the Production Team Leaders in their daily duties, and ensuring that all internal personnel and visitors adhere to plant policies and procedures.

The Production Supervisor is expected to work together with all relevant personnel to effectively meet or exceed expectations for workplace safety, product quality, product delivery and internal cost targets.

The Production Supervisor must be able to read, follow directions and help Team Members complete the DHR Documentation (PCD, job traveler, etc) and correctly document work time, equipment usage time and inventory transactions within Oracle/KABA.  Furthermore, the Production Supervisor must have extensive knowledge of visual and dimensional inspection techniques, to guide and train fellow team members with the same knowledge

Position Requirements:

Provide two-way communication with Production Team Members concerning workplace safety, product quality, product delivery, and internal cost targets through shift start-up meetings, shift turnover logs and the production scheduling board.

Work with Team Leaders to deal with and document Team Member performance issues when the issues occur.

Ensure that daily assignments are carried out per established procedures.

Assist Team Leaders in completing DHR documentation.

Assist Team Members in correctly documenting work time and equipment usage time.

Able to work with Team Members in troubleshooting production issues.

Able to supervise in-process inspection.

Schedule production activities to meet customer requirements.

Must be able to read and interpret customer prints and specifications.

Able to supervise and perform various dimensional inspections using specific dies, gauges, or dimensional inspection systems.

Conduct weekly safety meetings within the department.

Verify Team Members daily time is entered correctly and that time and attendance policies are being followed.

Assist Manager in completing Team Member Annual Reviews.

Must be fully proficient in all duties related to inventory control.

Ensure cleanliness of work area, machines, tools, and equipment.

Ensure cleaning schedule and room monitoring is being performed as required, if applicable.

Performs job duties with little or no supervision or assistance.

Acts as a resource during audits or customer visits for questions and answers or practical demonstrations.

Must train or assist shift personnel where applicable.

In general, the Production Supervisor would be expected to spend a minimum 4 hours per day within the production department

Environmental Working Conditions:

Ability to regularly lift, bend, lift, stoop, reach up to 10 pounds.

Ability to occasionally lift, bend, lift, stoop, reach up to 25 pounds.

Ability to analyze, understand and effectively communicate technical material.

Ability to work in a demanding user environment.

Qualifications:

A minimum of 2+ years of production or assembly experience required, 4 years of experience preferred.

Ability to read and understand process documents and accurately complete simple mathematical operations including measurement using decimals and fractions.

Requires a variety of repetitive operations to assemble products to meet tolerances and product specifications. 

Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job, where methods and sequence of assembly are clearly written and described; can apply prior skills to new operations. 

Trained or proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
