Production Supervisor
Aerotek is hiring Production Supervisor Shift: 3PM -11:30PM Pay: $82,500 to $87,500

Job Description

Direct Team Leaders and other Team Members in assigned manufacturing areas such as filter, injection molding, powertrain, stamping, urethane, and kaizen. Manage the manufacturing line, cells, or area as an operational unit to achieve company goals and targets in line with company policies, manufacturing standards, and quality standards for safety, product quality, customer satisfaction, accuracy, productivity, cost reduction, housekeeping, efficiency, training, teamwork, and morale. Oversee the press and stamping department, ensuring KPI's and production quality while managing line setup.

ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage 20 employees including press operators, crane operators, press technicians, and team leads.Assist with basic line PM and setup, including die setups, changes, and maintaining 5S standards.Maintain hourly employees' records using Kronos timekeeping and utilize Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Office Suite.Maintain inventory for the department, operating with a 48-hour inventory system.Plan and coordinate the hiring and placement of team members with the Assistant Manager.Monitor and track staffing conditions, work hours, overtime, job rotation, and absenteeism.Utilize techniques to standardize processes and methods, reduce process variation, identify and eliminate waste.Monitor the flow of parts, materials, productivity, and quality, and take corrective action as needed.Ensure quality goals and standards are met, using quality feedback loops and escalation procedures.Partner with the Quality department to initiate investigation and containment activities.Troubleshoot daily quality, safety, and production issues.Educate employees on passing good quality welds through effective paint marking, startup checks, consistent tip/nozzle cleaning, pokayokes, Stop, Call, Wait procedures.Maintain, monitor, and update department and KPI board and graphs, and initiate continuous improvement activities.Maintain training matrix for team leaders and team members, ensuring training effectiveness and correcting sub-standard performance.Essential SkillsBlueprint readingProduction line managementStamping press operationMechanical troubleshootingSupervisionMicrosoft Office proficiencyExcel data entryKronos Workforce TimekeeperAdditional Skills & QualificationsMinimum of three (3) years of relevant manufacturing experience required.Minimum of two (2) years of previous leadership or supervisory experience required.Manufacturing industry experience preferred, especially in parts production, quality, or production control.Ability to read instruction manuals, blueprints, and specifications.Ability to plan, supervise, and perform functions of assigned areas.Ability to maintain on-call flexibility to control abnormal conditions.Associate's degree in Business, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Why Work Here?

The pay range for this position is $81806.00 - $92500.00/yr.
