Corrpro Canada is looking for a Production Supervisor.
Corrpro Canada, is Canada's largest corrosion engineering, cathodic protection, and corrosion monitoring business for the protection and preservation of infrastructure. Corrpro Canada provides professional corrosion consulting and cathodic protection engineering services to major oil companies, government agencies, municipal water, sewer and gas utilities, universities, and public transportation agencies. Corrpro Canada has complete construction installation services, including crews and equipment to install any type of cathodic protection system for any type of structure.
Responsible for supervising warehouse operations - including overseeing production of manufactured items, staff requirements, employee documentation, training, safety, equipment maintenance, QA/QC, and inventory control
Ensure manufactured products are delivered as required to meet customer expectations
Production / Staff Scheduling: Schedule production for all incoming customer and stock requests to meet timeline requirements. Review production requirements with Materials Manager and production team on an ongoing basis. Scheduling of warehouse staff to efficiently and effectively complete all manufacturing requirements. Subject to approval, supply recommendations for additional staff requirements or the suitable overtime needed to complete the task at hand. Ensure all production procedures are updated as required and are followed correctly.
Product Manufacturing: Learn and understand the manufacturing procedures of all products with capability to train and direct warehousing staff to manufacture/assemble all products and complete the corresponding documentation. Learn and understand the operation of all warehouse equipment with capability to train warehouse staff on their safe operation according to Corrpro Canada requirements. Ensure the quality of all manufactured finished goods meet the applicable Corrpro Canada, Customer and Industry standards. Assist in developing, updating, and implementing both job and manufacturing procedures.
Inventory Control: Ensure the quality of all received raw material meets the applicable Corrpro Canada, Customer and/or Industry Standards. Monitor inventory levels of specific raw material and finished goods. Make recommendations for re-order or manufacture of finished goods. Conduct cycle counts as directed.
Safety: Demonstrate safety leadership including ensuring all employees are trained and working with Safety as their top priority
Warehouse / Yard Organization: Collaborate with Materials Manager to ensure organization of warehouse and yard to optimize space, security, efficiency of operations and worker safety.
Staff: Assist in probationary and annual warehouse employee performance reviews. Ensure all employee warning reports are documented. Keep records and forward any signed acknowledgement to applicable team members.
QUALIFICATIONS
10+ years background in warehouse and manufacturing operations
5 years of supervisory experience with groups of 20 or more team members
Demonstrated experience with Production Scheduling/Manufacturing Processes/Warehousing/ Inventory required
Strong skills using an ERP system (JDE, SAP, MAPICS) is a requirement
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
Working knowledge of bills of material structures and AutoCAD / CAD software applications, CNC operations preferred
