Production Supervisor – Early Shift coverage
Work Hours: 5:30am – 2:30pm
Job Duties:
This position will report to the Sr. Supervisor and is responsible for supervising shop floor personnel.Oversee all production departments (HeliCoil, Dodge and Machine Shop).Responsible for executing production plan (WO expediting and product flow)Ensure correct man to machine ratio, maintain optimal OEE. Ensure all direct reports are adhering to policies and proceduresEnsure employees follow all appropriate safety procedures and have all necessary PPE to perform their role in a safe mannerEHS incident reporting and investigationsWeekly employee engagement meetings/toolboxMaintain production schedules, ensure efficient product flow through the plantMaintain workorder completion datesEnsure output meets quality standardsImprove and maintain a steady flow of material through operations by proactively communicating any schedule shortfallsInterface with other supervisors to ensure efficient operations between shifts and departmentsEnsure production floor areas are kept clean and organizedFoster a healthy relationship with employees by treating them fairly and with respectMaintain time and attendance tracking.Serve as a change agent in implementing and executing new processes to increase efficiency and on-time delivery.All related supervisory duties as required.Requirements:
Minimum of three years previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Machine Shop, Tool and Die, Davenport Screw machine technical knowledge is desired. 2-year technical degree or higher preferred. Demonstrated leadership ability, organizational skills, decision making, and ability to drive change and efficiency.Proficient computer systems, Microsoft office, excel skills. Specific experience with JD Edwards is preferredKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 6S, and Kaizen events, is a plus.EH&S experience, compliance, and training.Experience in planning and scheduling daily production requirements.Must be able to work overtime including weekends as needed.Must be able to start work at 5:30am, Monday - FridayEssential Functions:
Must be able to walk the shop floor continuously, approximately 80% of the day.Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs as needed.Bending, reaching, pushing and pulling required as needed.We Don’t Just Build The World, We Build Innovative Technology Too.
