Responsibilities

Do you have great communication skills, enjoy working with people, and want a challenge, our Sterling, MA location is currently seeking a talented production supervisor for our 12-hour rotating 8pm-8am shift.  

 

SUMMARY:

Reports to our Production Manager.  Our Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and motivating the production team to exceed goals. Monitors day-to-day production activities to ensure production efficiency goals are being met, safety protocols are being followed, and quality product is being produced. Directly supervises 18-25 hourly employees. Plans and controls production performance as measured against operating KPIs developed according to machine and manpower capabilities along with projected business. Ensures compliance to established customer quality and production standards. Actively leads and participates in plant safety, housekeeping, 5S and lean manufacturing programs by ensuring goals are met within the department. Ensures completion of all required paperwork, schedules, work orders, etc.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for adhering to and executing all company regulations, policies, and program according to Berry, local, state, and federal requirement-regulations. Such as Environmental Health & Safety; Quality; and Human ResourcesAddress mechanical, operation, and technical downtime issues within department  Train, motive and mentor employees   Supervisor employees in the day-to-day operations to ensure safety, quality, and productivityMaintain and improve production throughput and work with the Production Manager to maintain direct labor costsEnsure company policies, quality procedures, and good manufacturing policies are implemented, understood, and followedProvide support for on-the-job assignments and continuous improvement initiativesEnsure company policies, quality procedures, and good manufacturing policies (GMPs) are implemented, understood and followedAll other duties as assigned Qualifications A four-year degree is preferred, or equivalent and applicable work-related experienceExperience in Blown Film IndustryA minimum of 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role with a strong background in blown film and Production floor supervisionAbility to work as part of a team and to work on own initiativesStrong problem solving skills, results driven and effective decision makerExperience using computer programs/programs: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, JDE, TeamsExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate accurately and professionally with all levels of the organizationAbility to work any shift as neededPrevious experience with Lean, Six Sigma or other relevant continuous improvement methods and tools a plus Options Apply for this job onlineApplyShareEmail this job to a friendRefer Sorry the Share function is not working properly at this moment.
