Job Description
The Production Supervisor role is integral to the success of our operations. This supervisory position focuses on monitoring the efficiency and effectiveness of our processes and personnel. Essential responsibilities include oversight of employees, scheduling of machines and production, and troubleshooting production errors or issues. We are looking for individuals with experience in manufacturing and supervising, and the ability to identify issues, find solutions, resolve conflict, and drive results under pressure. The ideal candidate will also have experience implementing Six Sigma and lean manufacturing initiatives.
ResponsibilitiesDirect and coordinate the activities of production, including reading prints and work orders, scheduling machines, and setting production goals.Maintain records of employee hours and attendance, complete weekly payroll, and monitor the production and assignments of employees using ATM, Shop Floor Plus, AS400, Infor XA Power-Link, Excel, and Word.Supervise team leads and communicate goals, priorities, and schedules.Perform daily walks, inspections, reviews, and audits to monitor quality and efficiency in all production areas; troubleshoot and escalate problems to the proper department or request deviations as necessary.Work with various departments to evaluate processes, make recommendations, and implement improvements for production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.Implement Six Sigma and lean manufacturing approaches throughout production with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.Conduct employee training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures.Maintain operations data such as time, production, and cost records, and prepare management reports of production results.Shift: 2nd Shift - Open to OT Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $79000.00/yr.
