CLASSIFICATION: Full Time, Exempt
REPORTS TO: Plant Manager
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for overseeing the effective operation of the warehouse/production facility. This includes; production planning/scheduling, supervision and management of production and warehouse hourly colleagues, monitoring and development of process and colleague performance, and ensuring personnel coverage and output meets the needs of the location. This position has a key role in helping to ensure all safety, quality and service objectives are met. This position is a member of the location leadership team and works closely with other leaders, supervisors, and lead personnel at the facility to ensure that the ADM Animal Nutrition Vision is achieved.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:Responsible for managing daily production on multiple shifts, ensuring compliance with company policy, quality assurance, regulations established by FDA, EPA, and OSHA and following cGMP’s.Responsible for supporting leadership in areas of managing, hiring, training, coaching and developing production and warehousing personnel.Responsible for safety culture—promoting safe behavior, implementing safety programs and oversight of training requirements.Responsible for maintaining and updating operations WI and SOPs.Accountable for training and ensuring adherence to operations WI and SOPs by all colleagues.Responsible for identifying and executing cost management initiatives.Support location colleagues and leadership team through continuous improvement efforts; as well as various other duties as required.Perform other duties as assignedPOSITION REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) with 3-5 years of manufacturing-related experience and 5 years of supervisory/management experienceSuperior verbal and written communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to effectively work and contribute to a team environmentComputer skills in Microsoft applications such as PowerPoint, Word, Excel and OutlookHistory of working safely and a reputation for promoting and getting involved in safety improvement effortsExcited about this role but don’t think you meet every requirement listed?
