Production Supervisor
We are currently seeking a Production Supervisor to help lead and support our Arnprior Tubing team.
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily production operations of the Plant. This role involves providing leadership in aligning business objectives, strategies, and processes for the production team. The Production Supervisor will leverage their expertise to troubleshoot problems, set and execute production goals, and drive both short-term and some long-term objectives to meet production schedules.
RESPONSIBILITIES
EHS Compliance
Maintain a zero-injury record or meet specific safety metrics. Lead safety talks and conduct monthly safety audits. Advocate for safety initiatives and foster a "safety first" mindset among the team. Address safety concerns and hazards raised by team members. Ensure adherence to all safety protocols, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas (e.g., donning and doffing, respirators, etc.). Report workplace injuries promptly and assist in the completion of accident reports as needed. Serve as a member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee, representing the production team. Cultivate a proactive safety culture throughout the plant.

Training & Development
Track progress in employee skill development or training completion rates. Ensure all employees are trained in BWXT’s procedures and contribute to achieving quality and safety goals. Ensure team members are properly qualified, licensed, and trained for their specific tasks. Support cross-training initiatives to enhance team versatility.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Industrial Management, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of operations or management experience). A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in production management software Strong planning, communication, and execution skills. Ability to manage employee relations fairly and equitably. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Experience working in a unionized setting is preferred. Ability to participate in the Emergency Response Team.
The base salary range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $89,000 and $139,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits.
