We are hiring a Production Supervisor (Area Manager) for our Day Shift! (Monday-Friday)
The Production Supervisor (Area Manager) is a member of the Operations Management team reporting to the Operations Manager. The role is responsible for leading production employees and ensuring safety, quality, and production targets are met in a Lean environment.
What You Will Do!
Supervise a staff of 5 lead hands and 40 hourly employees (Team in total)Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and advising personnel on safe work practices to meet Safety and 5S targetsMeet quality targets through participation and leading improvements in all aspects of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost through the use of daily management, various Quality and Lean tools, and Process Problem Solving.Ensure execution of the production plan to meet customer demand.Participate in Lean Glasshouse and COQ to meet TCP targetsCommunicate monthly talks to the hourly employees regarding policies, procedures, and other changes.Coordinate required inquiries for all team members.Responsible for employee training and tracking of new hires and cross-trainingVerify production entries, troubleshoot, and audit daily reportsConduct new employee evaluations during the probationary periodWhat You Will Bring!
College or Trade School certification an asset3 years experience in the plumbing or manufacturing industries is an asset.Microsoft Office skills - Excel, Word, OutlookProven experience in a similar role (unionized experience is an asset)CI/ process development background is an assetExperience to lead and motivate teamsEffective communication and collaborative skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentPossess a continuous improvement mindsetWhat Will We Offer:
