Your role and responsibilities

We are looking for a new Production Supervisor to join us at ABB Oy, Distribution Solutions in Vaasa.As a Production Supervisor, you will oversee daily assembly line operations, ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery. You will lead, train, and motivate a team, enforce safety protocols, and implement quality control measures. Additionally, you will troubleshoot issues, maintain production records, and promote and execute continuous improvement initiatives. You will collaborate closely with other production supervisors, supply chain management, order handling team, global manufacturing support team, sales, quality, R&D and the NPI-team. Due to responsibility area and the production process in 2 shifts, you will need to have the possibility to work some evening shifts.You will join a supporting and multi-skilled team, where you will be able to thrive in an interesting position that encourages responsibility and decision-making. Qualifications for the role

B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in industrial management, electrical and/or automation, or related fieldA few years of relevant work experience, previous supervisory experience is considered an advantageKnowledge of mass production and logistics processes (including electronical equipment’s), with ability to optimize these. Open-minded and enthusiastic about constant improvement and innovationUnderstanding basics of LEAN methods and financial skillsAbility to lead and motivate a team, plan, oversee and, support assembly & testing operations.Self-motivated and result-oriented attitude with a solution focused approach and good decision-making abilitiesTeam player with good communication skills and the ability to interact with stakeholders Fluency in Finnish and English, both written and spokenOrganizational skills: the ability to plan tasks and resources effectively to accomplish work dutiesGood MS Office and overall IT skills, for example experience with ERP systems like SAP
