Summary

The Production Supervisor directs the development and implementation of activities in production areas to meet production goals, quality and cost objectives. Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency and materials supply.

Position Responsibilities:

Supervising the day-to-day activities of manufacturing personnel. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company's policies and applicable lawsWork with the team to develop and continually review key operating metrics to assist workers in solving work problemsImplement and develop training and productivity improvements through Lean Manufacturing techniquesAnalyze work orders to estimate worker hours and create schedules that meet both internal and external needsInterpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assign dutiesAssist in planning flow of materials through department and developing physical layout according to work ordersInterface with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are metDirect workers in repair of products which fail to meet standardsDevelop, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of productChampions changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase safety, efficiency of shop, department, or work crewProvides direct supervision to professional individual contributors and/or skilled, support individual contributorsFrequently interacts with subordinate supervisors and functional peer groups. Interaction normally requires the ability to gain cooperation of others, conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects or schedulesOther duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):

High school diploma or equivalent is requiredMinimum of 8 years in a manufacturing/production environment with at least 2 years in a Supervisory roleDemonstrated prior performance in a mid-volume discrete manufacturing operations leadership role and leading a team of skilled employeesUnderstanding of and experience with ISO approved quality systemsGood knowledge and understanding of technical processes and engineering drawings Strong understanding of ERP systems (Oracle experience a plus)Must have a valid driver's license and clean DMV record

Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies

Physical Demands

Ability to work in a Production environment (Constant)Required to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (Frequent)

The salary range for this role is:

$71,704 - $101,640
