Production Supervisor III

Position Title: Production Supervisor

Location: Chagrin Falls, OH

Position Overview

The Production Supervisor reports to the Production Manager. This position will lead the plant's production employees, automation initiative, process improvement initiatives and be responsible for driving manufacturing productivity by improving process efficiencies, increasing capacities, reducing waste, and improving quality, 5’s Implementation.

Key processes in this manufacturing facility include industrial roofing urethane and asphalt, and adhesive tape. The Production Supervisor will be coming in during a stage of rapid growth for the facility and will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team.

Primary Responsibilities:

Drive a robust EHS culture with “Safety as a Value”

Apply tools and techniques to achieve breakthroughs in overall equipment efficiency.

Strengthen teamwork within operations and across functions.

Lead continuous process improvement activities.

Improve process control through improved instrumentation and statistical tools.

Identify and implement automation and packaging improvements.

Utilize lean techniques to improve activities.

Utilize financial analysis tools to support plant activities and to identify opportunities.

Support capital projects that range in complexity and scale.

Development of standardized work procedures.

Assist with safety programs and improvement throughout the facility.

Effectively engage employees at all levels in positive manner that fosters team building and community.

Manage up to 35 FTE.

Minimum Requirements:

BS Degree in an Engineering/Business Discipline

10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Background in statistical techniques and financial acumen.

Ability to travel up to 10%.

Preferred Requirements:

Demonstrated leadership with process improvements, practical excellence – Lean, Six Sigma, SWOT.

Demonstrated development of Standard Operating Procedures.

Experience in supporting ISO certification.

Demonstrated Management of Change programs.

Demonstrated 5S implementation.

SAP experience

MS excel, word, PowerPoint experience

Experience in controls and automation

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is $80k/yr and up based on experience..
