Pittsburgh Paints Company has an immediate opening for a Production Supervisor on 2nd Shift at our production facility located in Reno, Nevada.

The Production Supervisor provides an effective management process to provide a safe work environment, implementing strategies and policies to improve day-to-day and long-term operation of the plant, and supporting the Leadership Team initiatives on plant projects as requested.

You will work an onsite schedule on 2nd shift and report to the Production Manager.  The shift will be 2:30PM to 11:30PM with the potential for overtime. 

Key Responsibilities

Provide a safe and healthy work environment for all employees through accurate maintenance of equipment and facilities and elimination of health hazards to prevent work stoppage and time loss due to accidents, while ensuring adherence to all applicable environmental, health and safety regulations and standards.Manage the 2nd Shift production teams and ensure that each employee understands and follows all company procedures regarding safety, health and the environment and that the accurate training programs are in place to ensure that all applicable standards are met.Help facilitate regular production meetings to improve the communications between shifts and teams.Promote open discussion of process improvements and techniques to lead the East Point Plant toward cost and operating goals.Present recommendations to the Plant Production Manager to implement approved programs. Contribute to decisions regarding direction, training, goal setting, and other administrative responsibilities.Promote accountability.

Qualifications

3-5 years of previous manufacturing supervisory experience.High School Diploma required with a College degree preferred.Microsoft Suite experience, SAP knowledge, Kronos all a plus.Experience with Continuous Improvement.
