Production Supervisor- Structural 1stAmerican Buildings, a proud division of Nucor, is actively seeking qualified candidates for the role of Production Supervisor- Structural, First Shift. As a Production Supervisor, you'll be at the heart of our operation, driving excellence in Safety, Quality, and Productivity. But that's just the beginning. Here's what you'll be doing:
Basic Job Functions: Lead the structural department: Lead a team of approximately 40 teammates in the production of structural steel members.Focus on safety: Safety is our number one value. Demonstrate, initiate, uphold, and lead division safety expectations and initiatives.
Set a department vision: Set and lead goals for safety, productivity, quality and culture.
Coach your team to success: Coach and mentor department teammates to succeed as a team in reaching department goals and as an individual in reaching career goals.
Build your team: Work with peers to set a staffing plan, interview, and hire.
Fueling Efficiency: Bring your skill for process improvement to the table as you identify ways to streamline operations and save costs, travel and benchmark best practices.
Building Team Unity: Foster a culture of collaboration within our division, ensuring every teammate feels valued and heard.
Engage as part of the division leadership team: Work with leaders from across the division and enterprise to lead Nucor Buildings Group to success.
Be innovative: Engage in process improvement and projects to innovate the way we fabricate our products.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications: 3 - 5 years leadership experience in a production environment 3 - 5 years experience in steel fabrication or similar field Experience coaching and mentoring a team Experience in continuous improvement concepts High school diploma or GED Ability to work multiple shifts Ability to travel for training and best marking Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in Microsoft office suite and internal applications (BOMS, SICM, PITS, D365) 2-4 year degree in engineering or other relative field About Us:Nucor Buildings Group (NBG), a proud Nucor product group, is one of North America’s largest and most experienced manufacturers of metal building systems.
