Production Support Analyst

Minimum experience and education: Candidates with a BS degree must have the minimum of  11 years or 132 months of work experience specific to the job description.  

If a candidate has a  Master’s degree, they still need a minimum of 11 years or 132 months of work experience but only nine years or 108months of experience specific to the job.  The other work experience to meet the 132 months does not have to be IT related.

Work experience while in college can be counted toward the overall years.

 

If no degree, work experience may be substituted.

Background clearance: All candidates selected will have to go through a Federal government background check prior to being able to start.  Generally, the background process takes between 3,4 or 5 weeks. The time is dependent on how quickly the candidate is able to complete the paperwork.

Candidates will obtain a Public Trust clearance upon approval.

Sr. Production Support Analyst -

The selected candidate is responsible for enterprise-level systems operations support, requirements gathering and analysis, system monitoring and problem troubleshooting.  This includes a keen understanding of business processes, system diagnostics, technical support, customer support, system testing and direct customer liaison duties.  Candidates identified at this level will work with limited technical oversight and will be responsible for monitoring systems, reporting on issues, following and updating identified processes, testing preproduction/production systems, maintaining accurate and timely system information, reporting findings to technical leadership, improving processes and procedures, responding quickly and communicating accurately to customer representatives, system troubleshooting, code analysis including making technical recommendations for additional engineering development teams.  This position does not require travel.

This position may be called upon to serve as the backup to the technical lead for the system support team for brief periods of time. Team lead duties are as follows:
- Performs as the primary point of contact between the customer user community and the contractor in compiling specifications for information systems development.
-  Supervises subordinate personnel and is responsible for continuity training and employee development (5-6 support staff).
-  Provides enterprise-level information technology recommendations and solutions in support of customer requirements.
-  Serve as the chair of the Operations Review Board (ORB).

-  Applies industry best-practices and expertise regarding emerging technologies, risk mitigation, and continuity planning.
-  Plans, directs, and executes requirements analysis, business process modeling for large-scale development and operationsprojects.
-  Plans and conducts tests, and may establish environments for testing.
-  Ensures accurate documentation of technical specifications and processes/procedures.
 
Skills Requirements:

Required:

- 5 years demonstrated experience supporting enterprise scale production systems, including roles in software engineering, software testing, deployment/implementation, production problem troubleshooting and Tier 1/2/3 production support.

- 5 years demonstrated experience in software development (design, coding, unit testing, integration testing, tuning, etc.) using web based technologies, including object oriented languages, web based scripting languages, web based java or JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Java/J2EE, JavaScript, Angular, ExtJS, Ruby, Groovy, Rails, Python, etc.)

- 2 years demonstrated experience installing/administrating web servers and web application servers for Java based applications,including troubleshooting and tuning (e.g. IBM WAS, Apache, JBoss, Jetty, WebLogic, etc.)

Desired:

- Demonstrated experience in Systems Administration. Demonstrated experience in Software Development.

- Demonstrated experience using, creating or maintaining Defect management procedures, Change management procedures and engineering review processes.
- Demonstrated experience in Project Management.
- Demonstrated experience using Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) Business Rules Engines. 
- Demonstrated experience using Rational Requisite Pro.

- Demonstrated experience using MS Office 2007 or newer.

- Demonstrated experience using SharePoint (e.g. site management, list creation, documentation version control).

- Demonstrated experience using HP Application Lifecycle Management ALM (e.g. system enhancement requests, defect tracking).
- Demonstrated experience with automated functional testing.
- Demonstrated experience with manual and automated test management.
- Demonstrated experience with performance testing.
- Demonstrated experience with testing external interfaces and web services.
- Demonstrated experience with IT system management, with an emphasis on software validation, interface management and quality assurance.
- Demonstrated experience working on enterprise scale federal government contracts.

- Demonstrated experience working in a fast paced environment with multiple fast changing priorities.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Agile methodologies and best practices.

- Current PMP, ITIL and/or SOA certification.
- Demonstrated experience in the Federal Healthcare IT domain.
