Job Description Day to Day: Insight Global is seeking a Production Support Engineer to join one of our largest financial clients in New York City supporting the Markets APS Rates and Commodities Team. The suite of applications supported cover many different functional aspects of the business, including pricing and trade capture, risk generation and aggregation, market and reference data. The role will give the successful candidate exposure to the full front-to-back process from trade inception to feeding risk downstream On a day-to-day basis, their support will be centered around streamlining and automating processes in the batch focused team. Individuals will be take data from across multiple LOBs, performing data checks, enhancing the data and back outs. They will make sure batch jobs are running across dozens of applications. In addition, they will perform application health checks to assure system availability and stability, user querying and production incident handling, triage, and hands-on trouble-shooting of Python based applications. They will resolve any performance issues per criticality, capacity management and production release process management. All of these processes should be properly documented and communicated effectively. Ideally, this person is proactive in their identification and resolution of problem hotspots and has the creativity and high-energy required to effectively coordinate restoration efforts for this high-impact space. Skills and Requirements Must Haves: - 5+ years of experience providing Production/Application support - SQL (intermediate level: multi-table joins, grouping results, stored procedures) - Business knowledge in Rates, Fixed Income, Swaps, Treasuries, and/or Trading techniques - Experience with Python based applications - Experience monitoring the performance and health of system applications, ability to identify and resolve issues proactively - Experience scripting with Shell and Python for automation and scripting tasks (Intermediate level: multi-table joins, grouping results, etc...) - Grid computing (e.g. Data Synapse), job scheduling (Autosys, Crontab) batch management Plusses: Familiarity or basic coding knowledge of Python, .NET, or Java applications Dynatrace, Enterprise Monitoring ideally using ITRS Geneos, Dynatrace Previous Bank of America experience null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
