Introduction

We are seeking a Production Support Officer to join the Material Transportation Business Line Division (MTB) of Metso. 

Team you belong to

The suitable candidate will be a pivotal part of the Production Support Team in ensuring targets are met. This role is suited to a motivated team member, suitably experienced in production order processing, purchasing, inventory knowledge and general administration. 

This permanent position will report to the Production Support Team Leader and is located at our Ballina foundry.  

 What you’ll do

Some of the key components of this role include but are not limited to:

Responsible for ensuring prompt processing of production orders to minimize customer and supply location impact.
Purchase materials, equipment, and supplies.
Extension of material master parts to relevant facility location in the ERP system.
Proactively monitoring outstanding supply items – generating reports and conducting continuous reviews.
Deal with internal customers and vendors to ensure on time delivery.
Ongoing support to the production team.
General administration including front of house duties.

Who you are

Experience with SAP advantage.
Strong computer skills – Microsoft Office and an ERP system.
Administration, inventory and purchasing experience.
Strong negotiation and communication skills both verbal and written.
A high level of attention to detail with strong multi-tasking abilities.
The ability to prioritise and time manage your work.
Ability to work both autonomously and within a team.
You are a local resident with full working rights in Australia.
