Caterpillar’s company strategy includes sustainability as one of four focus areas and IPSD is engaged and actively preparing green energy solutions for the future.   **Job Summary:** Exciting opportunity with Caterpillar's Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) as a **Production Support Specialist** supporting our Quality Department based in Seguin, Texas. In this role, your focus will be on elevating product quality, velocity, and cost-effectiveness through skilled data analysis, effective problem-solving, and meticulous work validation. As a key member of the team, you'll report to Quality Managers and collaborate across different departments to meet the demands of both customers and the company. **What you will do:** + Inspect engine and engine components utilizing quality check sheets to ensure there are no quality defects + Verify correct alignment of engine components using engine schematics and part prints + Perform audits and carry out quality inspections to correct known defects + Ensure that materials received and delivered are free from quality defects + Submit and assist with the resolution of CPS Continuous Improvement cards + Assist other departments with problem solving or improvement ideas related to assembly + Follow standard operating procedures and area specific work instructions + Report daily information to supervisors and managers about engines in your span of control + Coordinate with support teams and value stream leadership prioritizing engine movement + Provide information to supervisors and managers about processes within assigned area + All other duties as assigned **What you will have:** + Minimum of 6 months’ experience in a manufacturing and or quality inspection work environment or relevant college course work + Attention to detail + Mechanical aptitude and ability to use assembly tools + Ability to work well with others  + Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English  + Intermediate experience with computers, tablets, and with Microsoft Office Applications  + Previous experience with Standard Operating Procedures or Standard Work  + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills  + Ability to adhere to safety procedures  **What would make you a top candidate:** + Intermediate knowledge of Plex + Completion of CAV/Manufacturing best practice training + Shop floor manufacturing execution system (MES) knowledge + Proficiency in Built-in-Quality (BIQ) Processes + Value stream flexibility **Physical Requirements:** + Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time + Ability to perform repetitive operations + Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.   _We are committed to ensuring a supportive and accommodating work environment for all employees.
