Production Support Specialist II

SUMMARY

 

Provide administrative support to department and production staff. Reports to Department Manager.  Maintain internal contacts with various departments throughout the shipyard and external contacts with vendors and customers.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES

Perform general administrative tasks, including but not limited to managing office supplies and equipment, answering multiple phone lines, and overseeing the daily flow of mail, correspondence, and filing needs. Collect, verify, and enter data as required to maintain department spreadsheets and other report documentation.  Update, run, sort, and distribute department reports.  Prepare correspondence, presentations, reports, and spreadsheets. Maintain department records and files. Order office supplies and assist with shipping and travel when necessary. Handle special projects as assigned.  Use discretion when handling sensitive company and personnel matters. Other responsibilities and duties as assigned.

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma or equivalent.  Two (2) to five (5) years experience in an administrative support capacity.  Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and various spreadsheet programs desirable.  Ability to type 55 WPM desired. Strong communication and organizational skills. Must be flexible, resourceful, and be able to work fairly independently. Ability to gain knowledge of Company Policies and Procedures.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be physically able to transit shipyard and climb stairs.

 

ACCOUNTABILITY

Responsible for timely and accurate administration and production support to department.  Provide effective and efficient administrative support services. 

Pay Scale:

$49,400- $73,800

This pay range is a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. It takes into account the wide range of factors considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, and education.
