Hourly Pay/Work Schedule

Team Lead Hourly Pay Rate:  $30.00 per hour
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 2nd Shift: 2 PM - 10:30 PM with OT as needed.  

 

Job Purpose

The Team Lead will lead one or more production departments to achieve goals for health, safety, environmental compliance, quality, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

•    Must follow all established health, safety, and environmental rules and procedures.  Set an example as a role model in the building for working safely and compliantly.
•    Must demonstrate integrity while performing duties as per company’s Code of Conduct.
•    Ensures all work is planned out ahead of time and assigned to employees to maximize productivity.
•    Delegate employees to other positions as needed to ensure batches and essential jobs are completed.  This is completed while following safety procedures and monitoring the safety actions of subordinates, such as proper PPE, bonding and grounding, etc.
•    Ensure batch tickets, fill sheets, shift handover forms, and all other paperwork are completed correctly.
•    Owns housekeeping and 5S for the department and drives the standardization and sustainability aspects of keeping the department clean and organized.
•    Collect and compile all employees’ work data for the week and turn in all other tracking documentation.
•    Drives a sense of urgency.
•    Manages conflict on the floor.
•    Makes key decisions critical for business success.
•    Closely monitor activities in the department to: ensure HSE compliance, ensure a high level of quality, and maximize productivity.
•    Work with others to drive improvement projects.
•    Closely monitor Operator performance and recommend discipline when needed.
•    Make batches and fill off as needed during peak production demands
•    Assist the Supervisor in any other duties as requested.

Owner of the department and its success.  Will be responsible for the following aspects of business performance and the day to day managing of and the long term improvement of:

1.    HSE Champion (must function at a champion level as defined by HSE immersion process- no less accepted) 
2.    Total owner of quality for department- buck stops at the process level- do not rely on QC to catch your mistakes
3.    Owns productivity levels and results 
4.    Organization, housekeeping, 5S, ALPS initiatives must meet expectations and be supported by your role, championing your team to accept and support programs. You must be the role model and influence others to support.

Job Requirements

Education and/or Experience
High School diploma or equivalent required.  Some college preferred. Pass pre-employment physical, background check and drug screen. See essential qualifications. 

Skills
Operation and control- Ability to use equipment to perform duties of job safely and effectively 
Mathematics- Knowledge of basic math including adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, fractions and measurements
Operation Monitoring- Ability to watch gauges, dials, or display screens to ensure proper operation of equipment 
Leadership- ability to lead, direct and guide individuals and teams 
Computer skills- ability to use Microsoft office suite including Outlook, Word and Excel
