Production Team Leader

The production team leader main objective is to effectively manage and lead a team of production operators to achieve the production goals and targets set by the organization. The production team leader is responsible for overseeing the
day-to-day operations of the production line or department, ensuring that production schedules are met, and maintaining the highest level of product quality and safety. The role requires you to work in shifts (day or night).

Let’s talk about Responsibilities

Safety Compliance: Ensuring that all safety protocols and procedures are followed to maintain a safe working environment for the team. Conduct safety briefings and ensure team members are trained on safety procedures. Investigate and report any accidents or incidents promptly.Quality Assurance: Implementing and maintaining quality control measures to ensure that products meet or exceed the established quality standards and free from defects. Ensure Incidents, Non-conformance and CAPA are completed within the required time. Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to established procedures and standards.Conduct quality checks and inspections during production runs. Address quality issues promptly and
implement corrective actions.Compliance: Ensure compliance with GMP, regulatory requirements, QMS and other business systems.Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and industry standards. Cooperate with audits and implement
necessary corrective actions.Leadership and Team Management: Providing guidance, direction, and support to the production line leader(s) and operators, including assigning tasks,setting performance goals, and monitoring progress. Conduct regular team briefings to discuss goals, issues, and improvements.Address any conflicts or disputes within the production team promptly and professionally. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.Production Planning and Scheduling: Collaborating with production manager and planners to create production schedules that meet customer demands, fulfill performance requirement, and optimize resource utilization. Take
proactive measures to optimize production efficiency and minimize downtime.Resource Management: Ensuring that resources, such as raw materials, equipment, and manpower, are efficiently allocated and utilized to meet quality requirements, resource efficiency and production targets. This includes managing overtime resources and scheduling as required by the organization.Monitor production lines inventory
levels and communicate with relevant departments to maintain sufficient stock levels.Training and Development: Identifying training needs and providing necessary training to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members. Ensure training records are maintained and fulfill training metrics requirement of a line leader or operators.Performance Evaluation: Conducting regular performance evaluations for line leaders and operators, providing feedback, and identifying areas for improvement. Update skill metrics of line leaders and operators in quarterly
basis.Problem Solving: Addressing any production-related issues or bottlenecks that may arise and finding solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.Continuous Improvement: Driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes and reduce
rejects and scraps.Reporting and Documentation: Keeping detailed records of production activities, such as production output, downtime, and performance metrics, and providing regular reports to higher management. This includes presenting
daily reports in PFT meetings and provide updates on-the-day production status i.e. resources, materials and equipment readiness to fulfill production requirements for the day.Communication: Facilitating clear and effective communication within the team and with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and coordination.Cost Management: Working towards cost-effective production by optimizing resource utilization and minimizing
wastage.

Bachelor’s degree.Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience in productionExperience in managing operation teamExperience in medical device, pharmaceutical or other health care industry
