This role helps to foster self-reliance, care for the poor and the needy, and provide opportunities for giving and service by: helping members become economically and emotionally self-reliant; providing access to essential food and clothing items, helping members prepare for and respond to disasters; and providing humanitarian aid to relieve suffering; thus furthering the mission of the Church. Helps provide quality products to the Bishops' Storehouses as needed to help the poor and needy. Performs duties in the daily production, processing and packaging of products used throughout the Welfare system. Helps provide service opportunities for volunteers and missionaries as outlined by welfare principles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Provides direction and training to staff in proper procedures for commodity production. Reports to and assists the supervisor or plant manager as needed or assigned.
