Technical Operator – Mars Wrigley

Shift: Mon-Fri 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm rotating shift pattern
Circa £30,000 + shift pay & company bonus
The purpose of the Production Technical Operator role, is to oversee the smooth execution of production plans, maintain adherence to standards, and actively creating and driving action plans to return the lines to standard running conditions in a timely manner.
The Production Technical Operator is a key figure in the production management team, responsible for driving FMOS, efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and actively contributing to the ongoing improvement of production processes.
The role requires a combination of leadership, problem-solving, and collaborative skills to achieve optimal production performance
What are we looking for?
Previous experience working within a Warehouse and using a Forklift Truck.
Excellent standards of numeracy and literacy, preferably to A-level standard or equivalent.
Proven problem-solving skills capable of thinking outside the box. PLS and SAP experience desirable.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to adapt and react to change in a fast paced environment.
A strong communicator and excellent collaborator with the ability to work well within a team, while providing support and direction to the team.
What will be your key responsibilities?This is a leadership role in the factory and decision making is a key aspect of the role.
Contribute to the execution of the site CBN and ensure that production plans are executed and completed in full.
Leading the execution of AM’s, changeovers and handovers, and maintain and update all FMOS data required for the shift.
Proactively monitor losses across and monitor the progress of production activities, identify, and escalate any issues or delays promptly in accordance with FMOS escalation procedures.
Implement and uphold safety protocols and regulatory requirements to create a safe working environment.
Monitor and enforce compliance with organizational policies and procedures related to production processes, and enforce safety and quality standards to ensure that products meet established specifications.
Deputies for the Production Coordinator when required.
