Job Title: Production Technician

Job Description

The main function of a production technician is to support the Metrology scanning process.

ResponsibilitiesReceive and count stock items, and record data manually or using a computer.Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers.Essential SkillsVerbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability.Team player and detail-oriented.Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective security operations.High school diploma or GED required.2 to 4 years of experience in machine operation, metrology, and data entry.Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow a runlist while operating machinery.Additional Skills & QualificationsStrong computer skills.Leadership experience, such as being a lead or supervisor.Experience with crafting, art, or ceramics is a plus.Ability to lift 20 lbs.Ability to stay alert during long hours of repetitive tasks.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is an open lab where people work together. Employees must wear closed-toed shoes and gloves when working with the product. The working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Rosa, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.70
