Job Title:      Production Technician                                Department: Production

Location:      Color Intermediates, Cincinnati OH           Supervisor: Production Supervisor   

           

POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

Under the general supervision of the shift supervisor, the Production Technician is responsible for the manufacture, packaging, and quality control.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Unloading of bulk raw materials outside (tankers, isotainers) in all weather conditions. Unloading sulfuric acid and other hazardous chemicals. Charge reactors and empty rotary vacuum dryers. Operate fork trucks (loading and unloading trucks) and moving product from the plant to the warehouse. Able to climb ladders. Ability to lift and stack 55 lb. paper bags frequently and roll 250 lb. drums by hand onto skids. Must have basic mechanical skills to perform minor maintenance. General cleanup of the plant inside and outside; cleaning of the break room, locker, and shower rooms; sweeping, mopping and wiping down equipment. Required to work 5-day schedule, occasional overtime; willing to rotate shifts every 2 months.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

High school graduate or equivalent. (Minimum)

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Basic Math Skills Ability to lift 55lbs repeatedly Forklift Experience

 

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Two years’ experience working in an industrial/manufacturing environment Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and requires basic Microsoft Office skills

 

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: Full-time. Flex Schedule 10hr Days
