Production Technician    Company Overview:  Empirical Systems Aerospace, Inc. (ESAero) is seeking Production Technicians to join our team. ESAero is a growing aerospace company in the San Luis Obispo area and provides services which include but are not limited to rapid system development, on-demand niche engineering, hands-on development/testing, and small UAS aerospace system manufacturing.   **This position is fully on-site at ESAero in San Luis Obispo, CA**   Primary Responsibilities and Duties:   + Support the manufacturing team with the fabrication of composite parts and/or electromechanical assemblies  + Follow written work instructions to assemble and document the build of each assembly.  + Escalate any process or quality issues.  + Assist the engineers as they create, modify & test products and processes  + Help to create solutions to complex technical problems  + Build and set up equipment  + Analyze operations and offer suggestions for improvement.  Required Qualifications and Skills:   + Quick learner, hard-working with skilled hands  + Technical hands-on capability with attention to detail. Including but not limited to: wiring, soldering, parts fabrication, assembly, and general shop work/maintenance  + Ability to collaborate and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.  + Must be able to verbally communicate, read and comprehend written and verbal instructions, and be capable of doing basic mathematical calculations  + Proficiency and experience with basic hand tools and their safe operation  + A willingness to learn and work overtime when required.  + Ability to handle multiple assigned tasks  + Self-motivated and must be able to work with a minimum of supervision  + Willing to work as a team to reach daily goals and objectives  + Excellent work ethic and attendance  + 2+ years of experience  + High school diploma.  + A valid driver's licenses  + US Citizen/Permanent Resident   + Able to work onsite at ESAero Office locations in San Luis Obispo  + Willing to relocate to San Luis Obispo, CA    Desired Qualifications and Skills:  + Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology  + Experience in Composites  + Certifications in IPC and J-STD  + Experience assembling and/or testing complex electromechanical assemblies   + Experience in a manufacturing environment  + Experience with parts and inventory management  + SLO Partners UAV Completion Certificate  + 5+ years of experience  Benefits and Perks:     + Health/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance   + PTO    + Paid Holidays (9)   + Retirement: 401k w/company match    + Casual dress code, Free snacks     + Amazing location to live, work, and play  ESAero is an equal opportunity employer.   E-Verify participation required for employment.   Must present proof of authorization to work in the United States.      Must be able to pass background check  Salary Range: $22 - $33/hr (DOE)    Powered by JazzHR
