A Brief Overview

Production Technicians I perform tasks related to building and cabling racks as well as cabinets, or communication equipment. Basic installation of equipment in racking, demonstrating the ability to follow rack elevation and documentation for work completion. Ability to perform tasks with limited supervision or training. Will need to validate the physical and systematic processing of material while being able to record quality transactions representing work as well as physical audit of equipment and accessories. This position reports to a Production Supervisor.

 

1st Shift Tuesday - Friday 5:00am - 3:30pm

 

Job Responsibilities

Perform labeling based on customer requirements Knowledge on the proper use of basic manual and power tools Troubleshoot installation of hardware Route and manage basic copper, fiber cables, and AC/DC power runs where applicable Read and understand basic wiring diagrams and installation instructions Create and apply device and cable labels for a specific and limited amount of equipment Complete and submit basic paperwork (forms, checklists, etc.) according to company policies and procedures Troubleshoot basic, non-complex errors and perform quality audits Confirm hardware is functional & troubleshoot as pertain to work performed Execute work to customer-defined requirement Basic knowledge of AC and DC Power
