Manufacturing Production Technician (Continuous Improvement)
Job Description
As a Production Technician III focused on continuous improvement, you will play a critical role in optimizing manufacturing processes, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring high-quality production. Your expertise will contribute to the success of our manufacturing operations by implementing improvements, analyzing data, and leading focused workstreams.
Responsibilities & Duties
Process Optimization and Efficiency:Identify opportunities for process improvement, waste reduction, and cost savings.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency both on the production floor and in transactional processes.Use Lean Six Sigma principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives (DMAIC)Works directly with production and maintenance techs drive actions to completionData Acquisition and Analysis:Collect and analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions and drive process enhancements.Utilize confirmation metrics to inform decisions post implementationFocused Improvement Workstreams:Lead improvement projects (such as Kaizen events) to address specific challenges.Lead specific metric-themed workstreams (Waste, UPDT, etc) to create and improve on the factory structure to manage these KPIsWork closely with Operations, Maintenance, and other relevant teams to implement changes effectively.Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting:Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance.Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime and waste.Documentation:Work to identify gaps in standard work documentation and update said standard work accordingly.Maintain detailed records of process changes and imporvementsUtilize both POKA and Webalo as means of updating and maintaining standardQualifications
Obtained or actively pursuing lean six sigma certification (Yellow Belt or Green Belt training)Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles and continuous improvement methodologies.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.Strong problem solving skills to develop effective solutionsExcellent communication and attention to detailPrevious experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a role focused on process improvement. Total Rewards Pay starting at $31.89 per hour plus up to a $3.00 shift differential The employee will move to a higher rate of $33.48 per hour in the quarter after their 6-month anniversary.Where Applicable:

Strong mechanical aptitude of processing and packaging machine operations; with a preference of 6 years manufacturing experience.Ability to make decisions, communicate and problem solve. Self-motivated team player with a positive attitude.Ability to get along with others, be punctual, demonstrate satisfactory attendance, and follow instructions from others.Strong computer and software skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Enterprise Resource Planning systems, etc), preferredBasic mathematical skills to make production calculationsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Ability to lift 30 pounds on a regular basis and 50 pounds occasionally.Ability to lift, bend, stretch and stand during entire shift.Ability to push/pull up to 1,500 pounds using supplied equipment.Ability to frequently kneel, squat, bend, stoop, twist, and reach overhead with repetitive motions.Ability to meet all requirements to wear respiratory protection, as required.Ability to walk up and down stairs.Ability to work in a variety of temperature and humidity conditions.
