Job Description

Responsibilities: 

The Technician 2 will be on-shift responsible for the operation of Lehr through inspection equipment. The responsibilities of a Technician 2 build upon what is expected of a Technician 1Cleaning & 5S of inspection areaHoist and forklift operationOverall line observation and reportingHot end inspection equipment setup, job change, and operation, including troubleshooting and data analysisJob change and set up for packaging equipment, including palletizer, carton, case packer, and stretch wrapperBasic troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance for packaging equipment, including palletizer, carton, case packer, stretch wrapper, and inject coderAdditional equipment maintenance tasks, including changing cameras and hard drivesBasic troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance for inspection equipment and conveyorsWare testing, including challenge sample testing, fingernail tests, packed ware tests, held ware tests, scratch testsInterpretation and validation of inspection dataSet up of lehr curves and annealing checksCoating equipment reading and checks (atomization and temperature)

Travel Requirements:

Travel up to 50% during the initial month of training and/or until the facility opens in June. May be required to train at other O-I/MAGMA facilities.

Schedule: 

We will be operating a 4-Crew 12-hour rotating day and night shift (DuPont Schedule). During the training period teammates will follow a training plan and host facility schedules which will require both day and shift work within our 24/7 operations.

Qualifications

About You: 

High School Diploma or GED required  Mechanical trade certificate or equivalent  3-4 years of manufacturing or production experience preferred   Ability to set-up and operate equipment  Familiarity with high speed industrial production lines Effective communication Basic computer knowledge to include experience with MS Office or similar desktop related applications  Ability to work to a shift schedule (day and night shift, 12 hours) Ability to occasionally perform physically demanding job tasks: Lift or carry <50lbs Bend, stretch, twist or reach out 

Wages:

Pay range will be $30.19 per hour plus overtime and performance-based incentives for all teammates.
