Ford and SK On are investing billions in Kentucky and Tennessee including building three state-of-the art battery manufacturing facilities between the two campuses at BlueOval City in Tennessee and BlueOval SK Battery Park in Kentucky. The Production Trainer at BlueOval SK will have a unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a key member of the start-up team, launching the facility from the ground up.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
The Production Trainer will facilitate classroom training, and provide hands-on training at the employee’s workstation. The Production Trainer position is a cross-functions training role--the Production Trainer will provide knowledge and skills training designed to enhance and remediate both the technical skills and the performance of all production and maintenance workers. The Production Trainer’s role involves facilitating, monitoring and, at times, developing training. General duties will include delivering program content, real-time workstation troubleshooting inside the plant, training tracking and evaluating impact to ensure that BOSK’s production, and maintenance employees have the knowledge, skills, and capabilities to perform successfully in their current and future positions. The Production Trainer will also be responsible for the transfer of both higher-level product knowledge and processes to members of the BOSK Learning and Development team. This role requires flexible for a day or night shift.
Identifies the most appropriate tools, platforms, and approaches to promote learning within both: BOSK plants and BOSK’s Learning and Development.Collects and responds to feedback on effectiveness of knowledge transfer, sharing, and communication practices.Manages the enhancement of existing programs/trainings.Provides support to the Learning and Development Team Manager in the collection, classification, and documentation of BOSK’s Learning and Development department processes and procedures.Works with subject matter experts and identify target audience’s training needs within each department: Cell Assembly, Electrode, Formation, Module, and Quality and Safety.States instructional end goals and, when necessary, creates and delivers content that matches the end goals.Provides exercises and activities that enhance the learning process.Ensures that all deliverables are performed according to the organization's mission, policies and procedures, and philosophy.Minimum Requirements
Education and experienceAssociate and 2 to 4 years of experience Equivalent work experience will be considered.LMS Experience:Experience using learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning tools to manage training programs.This role requires flexibility for a day or night shift.Must be able to multitask--work on multiple projects at the same time and prioritizing work appropriately.Demonstrates a high degree of professionalism, leadership, and team support.Ability to collaborate with others at all levels of the organization.Effectively and quickly provide on-demand guidance and direction at the employee’s workstation.Ability to empower those receiving supervision.Must be capable of working independently.Strong written and verbal skills.Ability to troubleshoot and provide the appropriate training resolution.Preferred Requirements:
Knowledge of battery manufacturing equipment and processes.Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
